An alternative to SMS-Activate

SMS-Activate stopped working at the end of 2025. If your tools or scripts were built for it, kartesim speaks the same protocol: change the address and the API key, and they keep working.

Switch in two changes

Replace the SMS-Activate address with https://www.kartesim.com/api/stubs/handler_api.php and use your kartesim API key. Actions such as getNumber, getStatus, setStatus and getBalance answer in the same format.

Real SIM cards

Numbers are physical SIM cards on mobile networks, not VoIP, so apps that block virtual numbers still send the code.

Pay only for codes that arrive

Top up once and each code is paid from your balance. No code means an automatic refund.

Do I need to change my code?
Change the address and the API key, then check the country and service codes against our documentation, since providers don't all number countries the same way.
Is kartesim part of SMS-Activate?
No. kartesim is an independent service that uses the same protocol so your tools keep working.
Can I buy without the API?
