Rebtel asks for a phone number when you create an account, because the service is built around your number. Some people use a separate number to test the app before linking their own.
How Rebtel sends the code
Rebtel usually sends a verification code by SMS to the number you enter when you sign up. Our numbers receive SMS only, so if the app offers a call, pick SMS instead.
When the Rebtel code doesn't arrive
- The number is already registered with Rebtel, so the app won't create a new account for it.
- Too many code requests in a short time. Wait a while before asking again.
- Rebtel offered only a phone call for this number. Our numbers can't take calls, so cancel and try another country.
